When Inspector Ivor Bloondvergoost (of Danish and Welsh ancestry) hears that Bertie Wilkins has met with a horrible death, he immediately offers his services to Scotland Yard to help solve the mystery. However, during the course of the investigation, Detective Rawlins suspects Bloondvergoost may have more of a stake in the case than professional interest.
