Synopsis
The aliens, tasked with patrolling our usually dull sector of space, are excitedly planning a Split-Crunch party to see-in the imminent and spectacular slicing of our planet in half (the Split) followed by a gravitational coalescing (the Crunch). Meanwhile, President Dolly Parton, fully aware of the unstoppable meteorite, but unaware of the watching aliens, is busy convincing the people of Earth to put aside their obnoxious ways and prepare for Global Unity Day, so they may say goodbye to each other with love, peace and harmony. With the help of a couple of tech billionaires with colossal egos, some savvy White House staff, and a great soundtrack, Dolly pulls the planet together and shows the aliens that humanity is not (quite) as crap as they thought.
